Son of A Khrusty is a new folk-rock musical about a young Appalachian musician, Danderhauler Agamemnon Khrusty, whose life is dominated by his overbearing father and leader of their family band, Winston Julius Octavia Khrusty, Jr. In the opening scene, Dan confesses to Cowboy Jesus, the family heirloom statue, that he’s lost his ability to feel. Cowboy Jesus responds by challenging Danderhauler to a duel, where he accidentally shoots him. This sets Danderhauler on a series of tragedies and joys which promise to either heal or cement his numbness and severed relationship with his father.
